First Few Days Home Routine (June 4th - 6th)

My days upon returning home were pretty routine. I woke up took my medications, drank my breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks through my trusty syringe. In between my feedings (seriously feedings, like a baby). Dribbles and drooles galore....I would sit in the recliner watching T.V. conking out every now and again only to be awakened from my lawn mower type breathing. Talking has been pretty non existent. A pad of paper and pen have been lifesavers. My mom made me a delicious concoction of coffee, Ensure, and Whey Protein. It's been a tasty treat and really my only meal. I have thrown in some Apple Juice and OJ to spice it up a bit. That's really about it for the first few days. I did receive some beautiful flowers and cards thanks everyone, definitely cheered me up!! Next post will be on my first post op appointment where the Dr. will take that hideous bandage off :)
