Brad and I dropped my mom off at the airport this morning. My mom and I only had one breakdown. It's hard to cry when you can't open your mouth and rather painful. It was sad to see her go but Brad and I will be in KC in August so I'm already looking forward to that visit!
The restaurant dining experience last night was well let's just say weird. I tried going in with an open mind but my self consciousness soon took over. Our waiter was very understanding and told me they could blend up anything on the menu. I can only imagine if I would have brought in my syringe what looks that would have got. I did try to drink from my water glass only to have it run down my face. So after that I sat with my pen and paper participating in Brad and my mom's conversation every now and again. My mom ordered my favorite dish of fresh papperdelle pasta with lamb ragu. It was torcher not to be able to eat any! All in all it was a good outing. My mom sure deserved a night out!
My swelling seems to be moving down my face creating jowls and a double chin. It's not the sexiest look I've ever sported. I think there's an eery resemblance to the Michelin Man! NOOOOOO
On a happier note I received a lovely care package from my sister and a few cards from friends and family. Always brings a smile to my face :)
